    • Small Packets

      The small packet service is available to all overseas destinations. The weight limit is 2 kg in general. The sender must at the top left-hand corner of the address side mark in bold letters the indication SMALL PACKET. The small packets must be packed so that they may be easily examined without breaking any seal.

    • Parcels

      These may be sent to the countries listed in the section "Overseas Parcel Postage Rates & Supplementary Services" subject to the regulations set out in the Post Office Guide concerning weight limitation, customs declaration, despatch notes and compensation. Larger size parcels or those which weigh over 10 kg can be posted at all post offices except the three mobile post offices.

    • Air Mail Label

      All air mail items must bear the superscription "BY AIR MAIL". Blue airmail labels are available for this purpose free of charge at all post offices. The label should be affixed to the top left hand corner of the address side of the envelopes or close to the address on parcels and packets (close to each address if it is shown in more than one place on the item). Alternatively the words "BY AIR MAIL" may be written boldly on air mail items. In the case of parcels an air mail label must also be affixed to the Despatch Note if one is used.

    • Customs Declaration

      All goods sent abroad by post, whether in letter packets, small packets or parcels, must be declared to Customs on special forms available at post offices.

    • Declaration Forms

      The customs declarations should be completed in English or a language which is accepted in the country of destination.

      To clear your item, the Customs in the country of destination need to know what the contents are. You must therefore complete your declaration fully, accurately and legibly. Otherwise delay and inconvenience may be caused for the addressee. Moreover, a false, misleading or incomplete declaration may lead, for instance, to the seizure of the package.

      It is also your responsibility to inquire into import and export regulations (prohibitions, make-up etc.) and to find out what documents, if any (certificate of origin, health certificates, invoices, etc.), are required in the country of destination and to attach them to this form.

      The general terms in the contents, such as "foodstuffs", "samples", "spare parts", etc., are not permitted.

      Regarding the type of contents, the insertion of a cross in this space does not relieve you of the obligation of completing the declaration in detail; nor does it necessarily imply that the goods will be admitted free of duty in the country of destination:
      • "commercial sample" means: articles considered by Customs as being of negligible value, which are merely used in pursuit of orders for merchandise of the kind they represent;
      • "document" means: any medium intended to contain and actually containing information which, by virtue of its quantity or nature, is considered by Customs as being of negligible value.

      Sender's signature on the front is the pledge that the item does not contain any dangerous article including explosives, flammable, corrosive, oxidizing, toxic, noxious or deleterious, or otherwise harmful substances, etc., prohibited by international postal regulations.
